Loser's Lounge was started in 1993 by session keyboardist Joe McGinty and Nick Danger.
Loser's Lounge is a bi-monthly tribute show based in New York City where local talent pays homage to the pop music greats of the past. Recent honorees have included ABBA, Roxy Music, Stevie Wonder and The Highwaymen. House band the Kustard Kings are the backup band for a calvacade of singers from local NYC bands.
Sometimes famous people stop by to sing (Nellie McKay, the late Joey Ramone, Andy Richter, Debby Harry, Fred Armisen, J Mascis) but some of the most amazing performances are by the lesser-known NYC scenesters.
After a 10 year residency at Fez, Loser's Lounge now performs at Joe's Pub. Loser's Lounge has also performed at Celebrate Brooklyn, Westbeth Theater Center, The Knitting Factory, The Bowery Ballroom, Makor, and The Jewish Museum.
The Loser's Lounge band has performed at special events such as the Director's Guild Awards, The Tribeca Film Festival and were recently featured as the house band on ABC's game show "My Kind Of Town".

Thanks for the kind words! I saw your Burt Bacharach Tribute at Joe's Pub around Christmas time and thought it was endlessly entertaining! What an awesome thing to be involved in. I'll be back!
Hello my fellow losers! I'm very excited about this show and seeing all of you this month. I thought there might be some interest in the pre-show activities, as I’m on occasion asked about how often we rehearse, how do we choose the songs, etc. Well, we’ve already set up rehearsals for our Neil Young vs. The Eagles show, four in total – three with just the band and then the Big Rehearsal. The Big Rehearsal lasts eight hours and includes all (or almost all) of the singers, and the entire band with strings, horns or what have you. Each singer gets a fifteen minute slot, and those singers who only need to run their songs once receive gold stars. Joe just sent around the chart assignments – Joe, Julian, Jeremy and I write out the music for each song – really more of a musical roadmap. We’ll go over half of the tunes at the first rehearsal, the other half at the second, and we’ll review on the third before the Big Rehearsal… Stay tuned!

It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible :P
Please send this video to five friends in the USA and ask them to send it to five friends and so on and so on and so on because it is really so very important! Register to vote!
