    Lou read most of the major philosophers in the western tradition. Delmore Schwartz was his biggest literary influence and mentor. Warhol was also one of the most important mentors to Lou. Cale was influenced by lots of experimental classical music.

About me:

the first album may not have sold very well when it was released but rumor has it that everyone who bought it started a band. Mick Jagger admitted to stealing many of his stage moves from Lou, and apparently Lou smacked David Bowie once during an argument.
