I'm easily intrigued by many controversial subjects. Many that know me think that I'm a "conspiracy nut", hence my interests in politics and religion : )
Other than that, i dig music, high-end audio, radio communications, cars, motorcycles, etc... You know, guy stuff : )
Music
Mostly older punk, hardcore, garage, metal, oi, new wave, glam, experimental and psychedelic stuff. I also enjoy Nordic / Celtic based folk music and some classical / chamber music. Most anything that is truly original is worth checking out in my book.
EMO SUCKS!!!
Movies
Hellraiser, The Fifth Element, Highlander, Shocker, Queen of the Damned, Braveheart, V For Vendetta, Betrayed, They Live, The Matrix, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Silence of the Lambs, Liquid Sky, etc...
Television
I hate the amount of influence that the media & TV have over me and the rest of the populated world. Having said that, there must be some reason why I bought a big screen : )
I tend to like a lot of English stuff. The Young Ones, Monty Python, Dr Who, The Goodies, The Two Ronnies, Not the Nine O'Clock News, etc...
The History Channel tends to have a lot of good stuff, but much of it is, at least in my opinion, presented from a very specific ( and highly skewed ) point of view. Start reading the credits and see who's filling your mind with their poisoned point of view / agenda!!!
Books
Don't read as much as i should. Probably why my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be.
The Way of Wyrd by Brian Bates. This is a simple, fun to read book that covers some very deep subjects. It was good enough for the band Sabbat to write an entire album about. Is it good enough for you to read and enjoy??? We'll never know, unless you read it
Dake's Annotated Reference version of the King James Bible. LOT of "deep" stuff in here, especially if you take the time to try and understand it via research. Tons of footnotes that can really help clarify / bring certain subjects to light.
Heroes
People that are honest with themselves and others. These people do the right thing, regardless of what the personal cost is to them. It would take an immeasurable amount of effort and self control to always do the right thing. In my eyes, the One that set the best example for doing this would be Jesus Christ.
About me: My name is Sean and i have the most beautiful daughter in the world ( no offense to other parents, i'm sure you understand :) I love her with all of my heart. Outside of Ruby Rose, i like electronics and music. I particularly like working with "audio", whether it is tinkering with "high end" home audio gear or jamming pro sound / band related gear. Working with bands allows me to do both i.e. tinker with electronics and music at the same time.
I'm also a radio communications geek. If you ever have the misfortune of visiting my house or one of my multiple storage facilities, you'll get to see the massive amount of "electro-junk" I've accumulated over the years. WAY too much "stuff" for any sane individual to own.
Some might say that I'm anal aka "a picky bastard". I like things to be done the best way possible, whenever possible. I can never figure out why so many people never have the time to do things right, yet they can always find the time to do things over. Never makes ANY sense to me.
Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone that actually gives a fuck!!!
Actually, this would be a VERY long list!!! Some people that come to mind in no specific order would be Jesus Christ, Nikola Tesla, David Bowie, Drew Barrymore, Leonardo da Vinci, Julian Cope, Adolf Hitler, Galileo Galilei, George Foley, Napoleon Bonaparte, Lincoln Walsh, Benjamin Franklin, Dr Peter Beter, Martin Luther, all the fat skinny people, etc...
everyone quit. I'm Steve. Nice to meet you. We have rick on drums, Kent on bass, Felix on vocals and I play guitar. I have a sweet Epiphone and a Sunn pa I use with a broken speaker for distortion.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A federal judge has thrown out a former Tennessee student's free-speech lawsuit against a school dress code that banned Confederate flag clothing.
Nearly a year after a jury failed to reach a verdict in Tommy Defoe's case, U.S. District Judge Tom Varlan has ruled against a retrial.
The judge said there was undisputed evidence of racial threats against minorities at Anderson County High School and school officials "reasonably forecasted" that clothing such as Defoe's Confederate flag T-shirt and belt buckle would cause a "material and substantial disruption to the school environment."
Defoe's lawyers say Varlan's ruling, which was based on a federal appeals decision in a similar case from Blount County, will likely be appealed as well.
First off Happy Birthday, Second, i completely agree with you, Dawkins does like to go back and forth on things almost proving himself wrong, although there are some things in the book I find educational/ interesting, but a lot of it is speculation and arguments countering most religious argument some i like some is just babbling and eloquent use of words to make a point seem logical.
"You cannot be free by obeying the rules. You cannot be free by waiting for someone to rescue you. You cannot be free simply by hoping for a brighter day tomorrow. Freedom comes from within. It does not come from without. It does not come from a charismatic leader. It does not come with a set of instructions. It does not come from being raised with doses of discipline and dogma. It does not come from being given your freedom only after you prove yourself to your parents, teachers, pastors, or other authority figures. It does not come from any God who demands obedience before He promises blessings (or threatens curses). It does not come from delineated rights. It does not come from The Constitution. It is you from whom freedom springs. It is you in whom freedom thrives. No one gave it to you. Like Dorothy and her ruby slippers, your way home was with you all the time. You just didn't realize it. Do you understand? You are freedom. Contrary to that tiresome cliché, freedom is free. -- B.R. Merrick.
