We are the League of Ordinary Gentlemen, a high school barbershop quartet hailing from the Sierra Nevada mountains in California.
We were formed in 2006 by attending the Youth Harmony Camp in Pollock Pines, California, where we learned the basics of barbershop. A year went by with little or no practice, and it was only when the camp came around the next year that we really shifted into gear and started becoming barbershoppers.
We have sung with 2005 International winners Real Time, the International contestants of the Far Western District: Late Show, OC Times, The Crush, and Stardust, the award-winning quartet Vocal Ease, other high school quartets such as Element, the Booth Street Quartet, The Bandits, The Overtones, 3rd Try, and Tone Deft. We have performed with many of these quartets, as well as with the pride of the Central Valley, the Golden Valley Chorus.
We took 5th place in the Far Western District high school quartet competition, with the help and guidance of our mentor Dain Goad (the director of the Golden Valley Chorus). We are also thankful for the continuing support of Raymond Davis, the tenor of such award-winning quartets as Late Show and Special Feature.
We are continually expanding our repetoire, and as it stands, we currently have learned and performed
