I crossed the rainbow bridge to Heaven on Friday 2-29-2008 between 4 & 4:15 PM.
Here's my cancer story: August 2007 - I had terrible experience with a Clovis and downtown vet. Mom found a new vet at Adobe Animal Hospital. Oct of 2007 Dr. Clover started to treat me. He treated my arthritis. I went back 11/07 after a feral cat attacked me. I was injured. Mom wanted me to be tested for rabies to make sure I didn't catch cooties. I was limping. Mom called the vet for xrays. He found something. 12/07- I had surgery to remove a growth (that may have been cancer) on my left hip. During my recovery I started using my right leg more for support but it hurt really bad. 12/15/07 second xrays this time to lower right leg (tarsal/calcic area). Bad news, cancer on my ankle. 1/08 Dr. Clover treated me with meds and referred me to UC Davis. They didn't treat me, instead I went to Dr. Frey in Manteca for a biopsy. Bad news again, osteosarcoma (bone cancer) but it was too late the cancer masticized. Maybe I had two months to live. Frey said with amputation, chemo, and radiation I might live six months - IF I didn't have cancer anywhere else. Frey wanted to amputate my leg. Mom cried after she talked to the doctor and Mom's Poppa had to drive us home from Manteca. Mom held me in her arms in my favorite blankie. It rained really hard as we arrived home. I celebrated my birthday the end of January and Mom bought me two mice to play with but we let them lose after two hours because I didn't feel like playing. Mom rescued me after I was abused. Well, really I found her after I ran away. Some people were really mean to me, so I ran away, that's when I found Mommy Jill. Through many hard times, we loved each other for 14 years. Mom had lots of talks with me about what was happening to me and my body. I was ready to go to Heaven. She told me I was going into a deep sleep on Leap Year day at Dr. Clover's Office, but that I would wake up in Heaven. She told me not to be scared because Jesus would take me across the Rainbow Bridge. She said there would be warm sunshine on the other side. She told me St. Gertrude, and all the angels would be there to protect me, and that I would go play in Heaven's Meadow with all my fur/feather/fin furriends I met before I died. I knew I would not be in anymore pain. Two weeks before I died Mom took me outside on Valentine's Day and showed me a double rainbow after it rained. She took a picture and said it's a double rainbow because there's one for me and one for her. I'll be waiting mom. Mew =^..^= Alley Cat <:3~
I'm playing with furriends in Heaven's meadow!
I liked sleeping under the covers, sunbathing in front of the sliding glass door, watching birds through the windows, licking myself, eating Whiskas Kitty Stew (why was it discontinued?) tuna, turkey breast or licking mom's ice cream cone, sunbathing on top of the canopy outside, leaving poopy surprises in the garden for mom to dig, opening kitchen cabinets in the middle of the night so mom can run into them, opening closet doors, sleeping in the closet, messing up mom's clothes, opening the dresser drawers and dragging out clothes, sleeping in shoe boxes, opening the shower door, licking water drops from mom's leg after she showers, drinking from the bathroom sink (toilets are for dogs), sunbathing in the garage, sunbathing on top of cars, scratching and sleeping on MY rug and the two chairs I own, tossing my toys behind the couch, attacking from under the bed, chasing shoelaces, rubbing mom's briefcase or shoes (I even slept in them when I was little), scratching wood or cardboard, crawling in comforters, sunbathing on the car hood or roof, making a big stink when I poop, scratching at my food bowl like I'm covering my poop - especially when mom feeds me Iams! Dropping my catnip mouse into my water bowl, or swatting dry cat food under the refrigerator, investigating open windows in cars parked in the driveway, playing hide-n-seek with Mom, practicing pounce technique, chasing feathers, sunbathing in the backyard, lounging on the lawn, opening the screen door to go outside then after my human closes it - I open it again to come back inside, scratching to go out, crying to come in the house 5 minutes after I've gone out, (did I mention sunbathing?) playing inside empty boxes, paper bags, plastic bags or crinkly sacks, scratching on the door, wall, rug or anywhere other than my litter box, eating grass then throwing it up on the carpet, sitting in front of the back door begging or crying for a human to open the big door so I don't have to crawl through the cat door, catching and hiding lizards, climbing on top of the cable box, climbing on the window sill, bringing critters through my cat door into the house and setting them FREE <:3~ Gardening with mom, getting dirty, sleeping on my catnip mousey after I play. Don't forget hiding in bushes, playing with strings, frogs, flies, bees, moths, bats, rats, cellophane wrappers, or leaves.

Hi SweetP, I'm missing you today. Someone has set up a MySpace account called Tribute to Max King but I had a problem when they stole your animated image without asking first. The person was so disrespectful to not even ask before, instead just stole it and used it without thinking. A band or user named jimmiekingmax, whatever. I won't let it go on for long because it's you on the animation. I have started a protest. I hope they take it down, but I will report the abuse.
