Alison's Interests
|
| General | Can you say "anything my 4 year old is into". My own interests are in books these days. I spend a lot of time reading fiction, non-fiction you name it. Just not romance, I hate romance. My son and I have taken to ice skating lately. It's fun and he's learning really fast. His karate instructor keeps telling me to come take his class. I'm gonna wait until my son can knock me on my ass then consider it. | | Music | Live, Sevendust, Jackie Wilson, Sam Cooke, and Everthing in between! | | Movies | This one's easy. Here are my top 10 films: 1. Braveheart, 2. Godfather I and II (I won't even watch that III crap), 3. Nightmare Before Christmas (yes, I'm in that mode again), 4. The original black and white Arsenic and Old Lace with Cary Grant (he was soo hot and what a great film) 5. Suicide Kings (how Christopher Walken spends 2 hours tied to a chair and is STILL creepy is beyond me), 6. Deer Hunter (again Christopher Walken just makes you cry), 7. Citizen Cane (I was once a film major and this film is long, boring and the begining of cinematography as we know it), 8. Good fellas (nothing really needs to be said about anything Pesci and Dinero are in), 9. Die Hard (now this I'm saying all 3 because they were all great), and 10. Patton (that sum-a-bitch was CRAZY!) And there's always an Honerable mention for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (I will watch that over and over and just laugh!) | | Television | 24 24 24 24 24 24 24. I'm also into House, CSI and Law and Order (all three) Cold Case, I love Simpsons, Arrested Development (being canclled this year) and I'm totally into prison break right now. Oh, and don't forget Football in High Def!!!!!!!! | | Books | Anything from Dean Koonts, Steven King, John Saul, and other authors of the creepy genre. I'm into a lot of classical stuff too. I've read Dante's inferno, Beauwolf, anything from Shakespear (mid summer night's dream and McBeth are my personal favs) I love the canterburry tales (they are so classic my favorite is the one about the three guys who set out to find death, ask me about it sometime I'll tell ya) I've read modern classics too but I find the old ones more interesting. | | Heroes | I don't really have any heroes. I guess I'm happy being who I am. I actually thought about this long and hard. There was a time I'd say Pricness Diana becuase she aged gracefully, gave her heart and soul to the world of people who had less and just did it all with a kind of class you just don't see anymore. Of course there was a time I'd also say the chick in the white snake videos but hey, let's not go there. Of course Torey and Jeramie who have done two tours in Iraq, each, THEY ARE heroes but I wouldn't want to be them! Love you guys and pray for you each night! |

Alison's Blurbs |
About me:
I love to arm chair coach. If I go to a live game of anything I have to sit close enough to the bench for players to hear me or I look like an ass yelling plays at them.
I use to be the wild one who knew everything about downtown and the party life. Since having my baby boy my greatest thrill is the premier of Chicken Little!
In just a few more years my son will be able to get us home safely after a Pats/Phins game if I do too many beer bongs. Wishful thinking.
Until then I'm happy doing all the stuff he loves and taking pride in his every accomplishment.
NOTHING in the world is as great as being a mom and though I miss the wild life I wouldn't trade it for the world anymore. Some day......You'll ALL see.

Who I'd like to meet:
Mel Gibson, who wouldn't? Teddy Bruschi, again, who wouldn't. There are a couple hockey players I'd like to meet like Ray Bourque. I already met Bobby Orr and he's just great. There area Authors and artists I'd like to meet but they are dead so I'll get to talk to them eventually.
