 | | Music | Mostly I like oldies and rock, ok, I've been known to listen to the headbanger stuff, but not too often. Queensryke (sp?), Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Van Halen, the Stones, the Beatles, yeah, yeah, yeah, Elton John, and many more classic rock groups. Damien Youth is my friend and favorite songwriter. Red Heaven and Alien Fashion Show is another friends' band, Eldon, Jeff, Todd and Walter. I had a thing for the Fabulous Thunderbirds - my friend used to let me come backstage after the shows -sadly he is not with them anymore! There are many more I am forgetting, Sarah McLaulan, Jewel, Heart. My local favs now are Beth Patterson (Celtic), Liquidrone, Analog Missionary, the COG, and Peabody to name a few. I have an appreciation of Classical music as well. Music is the universal language - it speaks to us even if we don't speak the same language..... | | Movies | Supernatural films and romantic comedies. Interview with the Vampire, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Harry Potter movies, Blade Runner, Lady Hawke, Mists of Avalon, Starman, Amadeus, anything about King Arthur, the Crusades, anything by Mel Brooks, Spaceballs, Alien(s), the 6th Sense, 10 ways to loose your lover, and the list could go on.....documentaries on Artists, Rome, Egypt, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Jesus, Mary Magdalen, life after death, ghosts and hauntings, shamans, Native Americans, angels and ascended masters..... | | Television | HGTV | | Books | My favorite books are of a spiritual nature, favorite authors are Doreen Virtue, Silvia Browne and Ronna Star. New Age books on astrology, crystals, Reiki, aromatherapy also hold my interest.
My all time favorite novel writer is Anne Rice, my mentor, roll model, and friend. It would be impossible to tell you how much she has influenced my life. She has opened up the world for me through her extensively detailed research for her novels, and by taking me to places in the world I could never afford to go by myself.
I do enjoy other novel writers, Alice Borchardt, Dan Brown, and others that I cannot remember at the moment.....to be continued and added to in the future. | | Heroes | Anyone who stands in their truth with integrity. About me:
It's hard to say what you are all about in just a few sentences because the first thing you want to say is what you do, or I'm married to, the mother of Chris and Terry, or a housewife, legal secretary, assistant to.....I am all of these things but is that really who I am? What have I accomplished, well, I am not finished so my list is not complete. I was born, I grew up in a small town that I could ride my bicycle across town to visit my cousins. Moved to New Orleans with my family (not exactly what I wanted at the time) when I was 13. Graduated, got married, had two kids, grew up with them you might say. Began working when my son and daughter went to school, part time of course. The Phone Company, Times-Picayune, Sears. Eventually, I began working in a law office, met Anne Rice and began working for her after we (Mel, Susie, and Teresa) formed the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club. To Be Continued......
