About me:

I am of Chemehuevi decent. A member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, Parker, Arizona. Rez grown with academic training from local schools and a graduate of Northern Arizona University. My aunt, the late Mary Lou Brown created beautiful traditional Chemehuevi baskets. Her baskets are seen all around the world in many museums and collections. She spoke about baskets, sharing her personal techniques in picking basket material, preparing willow, splitting, smoothing, etc. She loved to teach everone who would listen. I love to work with the willow in creating my tradional Chemehuevi baskets as did my ancestory. I family and relatives are my inspiration... luv ..
