Whether you call it alternative country, Americana or good ole’ rock n’ roll it’s clear that Faith-less Town makes music that recalls the best from the American songbook, exhibiting everything from the blue-collar rock bravado of Springsteen, the Alt-Country stylings of The Old 97’s, to the lush arrangements and vocals harmonies of The Beach Boys. Faithless Town’s new record When We Were Lions is an EP of epic proportions. Opening with the urgent punk-country anthem “Listen To Your Soul”, followed by the driving rock of “Key Bump” the band’s ode to late, drug-fueled nights spent in Atlanta bars to the indie-pop of the album’s closer “Play With My Heart”, Faithless Town covers a lot of musical ground on their newest outing. Faithless Town is: singer/songwriter Gene Owens, lead-guitarist Mat-thew Smith, drummer Padrick Handley and an ever-changing line-up of guest players including international recording artist Henry De Souza, John Edenfield, Larry Copeland, and Brent Sandel. Faithless Town has shared the stage with acts such as Manchester Orchestra, Drivin' N' Cryin', Chris Knight, Rachael Sage, and Connor Chris-tian & The Southern Gothic. Faithless Town celebrates the release of their new EP When We Were Lions on November 24th at The Earl.
