Finding an old key in the drawer,
I try to remember what it's for,
An old apartment, a car?
I've forgotten.
I should throw it out, but won't
Even though it didn't matter --
what wrong hands it fell into anymore.
Locks broken, locks changed.
Perhaps it opens some door in the wall?
A door that leads to more doors...

Yet it shines.
Dull, unpretty
It continues to shine
I may have forgotten someplace
I may have to go back to it someday
Tunnel through the years.
I will need this key.
