Four Noble Truths
1. The Nature of Suffering (Dukkha): "Now this ... is the noble truth of suffering: birth is suffering, aging is suffering, illness is suffering, death is suffering; union with what is displeasing is suffering; separation from what is pleasing is suffering; not to get what one wants is suffering; in brief, the five aggregates subject to clinging are suffering."
2. Suffering's Origin (Samudaya): "Now this ... is the noble truth of the origin of suffering: it is this craving which leads to renewed existence, accompanied by delight and lust, seeking delight here and there, that is, craving for sensual pleasures, craving for existence, craving for extermination."
3. Suffering's Cessation (Nirodha): "Now this ... is the noble truth of the cessation of suffering: it is the remainderless fading away and cessation of that same craving, the giving up and relinquishing of it, freedom from it, nonreliance on it."
4. The Way (Marga) Leading to the Cessation of Suffering: "Now this ... is the noble truth of the way leading to the cessation of suffering: it is the Noble Eightfold Path; that is, right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration."
Noble Eightfold Path
The eight elements are divided into three basic categories as follows:
Wisdom (Sanskrit: prajñā, Pāli: paññā) 1. Right view 2. Right intention
Ethical conduct (Sanskrit: śīla, Pāli: sīla) 3. Right speech 4. Right action 5. Right livelihood
Mental discipline (Sanskrit and Pāli: samādhi) 6. Right effort 7. Right mindfulness 8. Right concentration

Dearest Martin,

....

Easter is a time of love,
A time of death and pain undone,
So we may know the power of
The love that lives in everyone.
Each love we feel, unstained and free,
Redeems us--as with you and me.

Just dropping by to wish you a blessed Spring and a Happy Easter. May this season of color and renewal bring joy and happiness to you and yours.
~~Much Love~~Your Friend~~Melissa

Who has gone to the other shore and stands on dry land there, is the one who has realized for himself, in this very life, the liberation and hidden knowledge.

Dearest Martin,

Fill your moments with action, and there will be little time left for worry. Fill your moments with meaning, and there will be little time left for despair.

Fill your days with discovery, and you will fill your life with valuable knowledge. Fill your hours with caring, compassion and respect, and you will fill your world with love and friendship.

Fill your thoughts with positive possibilities, and the best things in life will surely be within your reach. Fill your words with encouragement and enthusiasm, and you'll often find people and circumstances lining up in your favor.

Fill your efforts with purpose, persistence, diligence and integrity. And your life will be filled with valuable achievements.

Fill your heart with a love of truth and goodness. And your soul will be filled with the treasure of wisdom.

Your life is a most precious gift. Fill every corner of it with the best that you can

Thanks for the add! May you be blessed with peace and happiness new friend~
Namaste~Melissa (Buddhist Inspirations)
