Interests
General
.. Geo-Caching, Theater, History, Quantum Physics (as a form of counter intelligence on GOD.), & riding my horse. My dream is to combine all of these interests into one mega-interest. I want to perform in a live theater production of the history of geo-caching with a parrallel universe twist. Oh - and the whole play is performed on horse-back. ..
Music
I have really varied taste. I love motown, opera, classic rock, 70's songwriter era crap... that kind of thing. As for my KARAOKE stylings: Billy Joel, Don Henly, Elton John, Meatloaf, and Stevie Wonder (or so I'd like to think). After 3 drinks my karaoke skills improve to U2, Marvin Gaye, and Janis Joplin. After 6 drinks - I can sing ANYTHING (and probably will). ..
Movies
Television
If I do watch any shows, I prefer watching them on DVD. Currently "BattleStar Galactica", previously, Heroes, Lost and Lost Room. As for drama, one the best shows on TV was West Wing. "House" is great. Dr House is totally cool. He makes me want to get a motorcylce and a nice vicaden addiction and live life on my own terms. Except I don't have the "brilliant doctor" thing going for me, so it probably wouldn't work out too well for me. For comedy viewing "The Simpsons" is my all time favorite show. I would say "Southpark" is my favorite show now, but the Simpsons has the "Respect" factor. "Scrubs" and "The Office" are very funny. NOTE: I only got into "Gilmore Girls" for a short period of time because my daughter need to bond with me. Reports that I stayed up all night on multiple occasions watching disk after disk to see what happened next with Rory and Loralie, were GREATLY exaggerated. ..Books
Going Back in Order: CURRENTLY reading "The Terminal Man" by Michael Crichton. I just love reading techno thrillers written in the 70's. They spent a page and a half describing the cutting edge technology of the main characters "page-master" (pager), And then reference the new fangled computer that is so small it fits in to a medium sized room. WOOOOOW! Before this I read "The Andromeda Strain", and "Frankinstein" by Mary Shelley, The woman who proved chicks could write about monsters. "Eclipse", "New Moon" & "Twilight", - a Trilogy about Vampires, Werewolves, and high-schoolers - got hooked thanks to Shelbey Rose. "The Endurance" True story of Sir Ernest Shacklton's amazing survival story on Antarctica. "Manhunt" about John wilkes Booth and his flight from justice. "Dreams from my Father" - Barack Obamas first book. "Tesla: A Man Out of Time"(Biography). "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. Before that: "The Last Templar. I like history, Fiction or Non-fiction, ancient mysteries, spiritual journey stuff, too., FICTION: Dan Brown, Zelazny, Scott Card, Brooks, Gemmel.... ..Heroes
That guy who jumped into the freezing water of the Potomic many years ago to rescue those airplane crash survivors. No, wait! - I want to change my answer to Batman! Screw that first guy, I don't know what I was thinking. ..
