knitting, Matrix (the movie), Dean Koonts, music...Christianity, Judaism, anything related to either. Minions of Mirth and Alice are my current gaming obsessions. Why is it no one ever lists their spouse in this space? Well...my spouse is one of my main interests, as well. And knitting. Did I mention knitting? ..Music

Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and a lot of things I can't think of at the moment. My favorite bible translation is The Complete Jewish Bible, in case you were wondering. I think we own a copy of nearly every English translation that's worth reading. And a few that aren't quite so worth it...Heroes

I'm not too old...just 39. A mere babe when considering the age of, say, Gandolf.
Like nearly everyone I went to high school with, I'm a self-taught computer geek. Professionally, I repair computers, force networks into submission and generally fight with Microsoft products all day. Personally, I play with graphic and web design on a Mac, accomplishing feats barely dreamed of by MS users. (I'm kidding...really...most of my high school buddies work with or for ..Microsloth.. Microsoft.)
I was born on Ft. Rucker and raised in Enterprise, Alabama, by a mid-westerner and a military man, so I'm a bit confused about my place in the south. No accent, but I can 'ya'll' with the best of 'em. I spent some time in Kentucky at Asbury College (a small Christian college) and have lived in Gainesville, Florida, Salt Lake City, Utah and Concordia, Kansas. I'm enjoying Georgia, but would love to go back to Utah...it's just beautiful and I love winter. Or someplace on the west coast where it rains a lot so I don't have to wear long sleeves in the summer to avoid the sun.
I'm married to Chad. 12 great years. We married on the Spring Equinox, which was March 21 that year, but sometimes March 20 or 22, so we sometimes get to celebrate twice!
We have 4 dogs, Cooper and Maxwell are 7 year old Golden Retrievers, brothers from the same litter. They were named after Leon Cooper and James Clerk Maxwell. Murray (Gell-Mann) is a 6 month old Chow/Shepherd whose nickname of 'The Mouth' doesn't really do him justice. Although it is quite fitting. Bernoulli (pronounced Burr - Newly) is also 6 months old and, of course, named for Daniel Bernoulli, is part Aussie and the love of my heart, right now. Just as sweet as sweet can be.
I'm an avid knitter. I'm not sure what 'avid' means, but I've been saying this for a year, so I'm going to continue saying it. I'm currently working on a sweater for my beloved husband and have completed 10 felted baskets as Christmas presents. I've been working on the sweater for months, with interruptions for completely ripping it out and re-starting twice and a break for the baskets. I'm hoping to finish it before we've been married another 12 years.
I'm also a huge Matrix fan. Check out my website or click on the 'Matrix Decoded' link.
Things people are surprised to know about me: I worked for a while as a collector for a financial company...I've repossessed a car or two in my time. I played piano for a gospel quartet and keyboards for a little Christian punkish band for a while. I had a hysterectomy when I was 30. I was the youngest of 5 and considered a brat by my family. (Oh. I guess no one is surprised by that.)
My hair styles havs been changing a lot recently. And colors. I shaved my head completely once (to donate my hair to Locks of Love) and would do it again if Chad weren't so opposed to it. For a while the front was auburn and the back was blonde. Currently it is medium auburn, which seems to be a color everyone likes, and is trying to grow back out after a particularly bad perm.

Who I'd like to meet:
God. In person and all. I have a few questions that He's been avoiding that He just might answer if I could serve Him some hot chocolate. Questions such as, what is deal with the roaches? Why roaches? And, for that matter, why blood sucking mosquitos? And, for goodness sakes, why can't it rain just at night when we're sleeping and be breezy and beautiful during the day?I'm sure He has great answers, but I can't begin to fathom them.
