  • "I’m all at sea
Where no one can bother me
    Forgot my roots
    If only for a day
    Just me and my thoughts
    Sailing far away"

    [jamie.cullum] - all at sea

  • "If you've never stared off in the distance, then your life is a shame"

    [counting.crows] - mrs. potter's lullaby

  • "I can't control
    My destiny
    I trust my soul
    My only goal is just
    To be
    There's only now
    There's only here
    Give in to love
    Or live in fear
    No other path
    No other way
    No day but today..."

    [rent] - another day

Back home I always thought I wanted so much more, now I'm not too sure
Cause sometimes I miss knowing someone's there for me and feeling free
Free to stand beside the ocean in moonlight
And light myself a smoke beneath the dark Atlantic sky

    [yellowcard] - back home

I'm on fire and now I think I'm ready to bust a move
Check it out I'm rocking steady
To the beat in my head
It goes oh, oh, oh, oh

    [motion.city.soundtrack]

All you need is the thing you've forgotten
And that's to learn to live with what you are

    [ben.folds]

We're feeling alright headin out tonight maybe off to a dark driveway
I say now, some feel bored, and some are looking for more, but we all just decide to stay
    We got nothing to do
, but when I look at you I see something that I know and love
And with the crack of a smile we all stay awhile, we know from home their ain't nothin above

Well in the end, we can all call a friend, well that's something that I know as true
    In a thousand years
, and a thousand tears, I'll come finding my original crew
Cause to me throughout eternity there is somewhere we are welcome to go
I said it's something free that means a lot to me, when I'm with my friends I feel home

    [o.a.r] - i feel home

You only hold me up like this
'Cause you don't know who I really am
I used to waste my time on
    Waste my time on
Waste my time dreaming of being alive
(now I only waste it dreaming of you)

Turn off the lights and turn off the shyness
'Cause all the moves make up for the silence

[fall.out.boy] - of all the gin joints in the world

    About me:

Hi! my name is Nick ... and this is my life, rewritten.

I'm a Jersey Boy who keeps getting shifted West. I grew up in the burbs of New Jersey about 25 miles west of Manhanttan for the first 18 years of my life. I graduated from Spiffy High in 2003 and enrolled in .. University as a meteorology major.

I believe that I am happier now than I have ever been... and I don't even have any friends I can call and hang out with yet. I really want to change that. I just moved to Columbus, Ohio . Yeah, I know, who would think being practically alone in Ohio would make this warm-weather loving, beach-bummin, East Coast boy truly happy? I just don't have much of anyone in these city limited to connect with. Columbus is a great city and I really hope everyone who has read this far comes and visits. I am a city person... but I think that I fit here better than overwhelmingly large cities. This city has a large gay population, and it makes me feel at east being myself in public more than I ever have been in the past.

I look back at how my career and I feel incredibly lucky. I have had the opportunity to write for weather page. I now work for an electric company here in Ohio. My job continues to be what my passion is -- forecasting the weather. Finally, do I now actually feel appreciated for doing what I love... Which is something I never really thought would happen. I think that it is a big part of being truly happy in my life and with I've done with myself so far.

I love to run ... I love the way I feel afterwards and even the next day. I try to run my three miles as much as I can. It's an adrenaline rush that can't be matched. And, well, I care about my body. I like to keep toned ... I like to feel good. I love to walk. I love to ride bicycles. I love playing tennis. I love photography ... I have tens of thousands of pictures in my archives ... and thousands of them are of sunsets. Most of the rest are of my friends or of various landscapes. Life passes so fast, I like to bottle little pieces of it.

I love music. Especially live music. I have a very ecclectic taste ... I really like a good deal from every genre except country. However, it is growing on me a little bit. I love watching baseball, especially the New York Mets. Somehow, along the way into becoming comfortable with myself as a gay man, I was deluded into thinking that I couldn't enjoy watching sports.

I love the beach. If I could spend every sunny day on the beach, I'd be the happiest man around (not to mention the most tan). I want to own a boat one day. I'm trying to get off of coffee for good. I've been slowly replacing it with green tea. I love to drive. I want to own a dream car by the time I'm 30.

I love to travel, I love road trips. I love flying. I want to see as much of the world as I can afford before I die. It is my life's goal. I love cooking and eating. I'm most creative in the kitchen.

My biggest inspiration has been my Mom. I can't even explain how much she has taught me about life.

    ..

    Who I'd like to meet:

Friendly, intelligent people -- around my age, please. If you don't fit in this category, and add me, I'm not going to contact you. I may add you cause this is myspace and not reality ... heh ... People from wherever are cool though.

PS - If your profile terrifies me in any way, I will not contact you.

PSS - I hate aggressive, pushy people. The more you push, the less I'm interested in you.

    Peace.
