About me:

I have a wide taste in music but I what I really like is the classic 70's and 80's rock. I am single but believe that the one I am waiting for is out there somewhere (but will tell you I am not known as patient and it gets a little frustrating). I attend school and work. Most of my friends are either people I meet on my job or at an AA or NA meeting. I have been sober sinse January 2002 and believe myself to be a much better person now than what I was when using. I want to expand my network of friends in my life. I am a bit shy but can warm up quickly with the right people. Also, I am gay and I have about 98% gay friends and only 2% straight. I would like to kind of even it out more -- I have nothing against straights but I know not everyone is openminded when it comes to people being gay.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet guys and women who are friendly, sensitive (do guys like that actually exist?)-- I have not had much luck in the relationship department - been single for over 2 years now (maybe I am overly cautious?). Love to laugh, listen to music, watch movies and writing. For friends I prefer you to be at least 18 or 19 on up. I am 37 years old and nothing personal but I do not want to have to think about the fact that if I am in a relationship with a guy, I do not want to have to look at them and be able to say "I am old enough to be his father" - so guys for dating at least late 20's to late 40's. Tall guys with facial hair (or even guys with shaved "military style" hair and no facial hair) are my favorites. You do not have to be a college grad and make $100,000 every year -- just be you and be honest and fun.I will warn you though I have people in my life who everytime they past a Toys R Us, they think of me -- so try not to be too serious about stuff - I try not to be.
