About me:
Sprung forth from the loins of Leanne Schmidt and Kelly Kiorpes, DeeDee Madison and Irma Bumstead are two salty broads who have a great affinity for sharing the minutiae of their lives. Leaving no subject untouched (even if you beg them), these two create a highly interactive, improv-based act that proudly flouts modern societal conventions, what with all the talk of pork chitterlings and nuns. DeeDee and Irma are a shining, chain-smoking addition to any burlesque show. In addition to their witty repartee, they perform their own brand of technically disciplined dance to such classics as “Good Vibrations” and “Baby Got Back.” If audience abuse is your bag, you can’t go wrong with DeeDee and Irma. Check out these glowing reviews: “They told me I was going to hell.” -Leanne’s grandma “Their act is the equivalent of grabbing the audience by the balls and not letting go until they laugh.” -Kelly Murphy “Very nice.” -Kelly’s mom Contact DeeDee and Irma at deedeeandirma@hotmail.com or http://deedeeandirma.blogspot.com/ Leanne Schmidt (DeeDee) and Kelly Kiorpes (Irma) are Chicago-based actors who met while attending Edgewood College in Madison, WI. With two theatre degrees and more than 30 years of stage experience between them, Leanne and Kelly are excited to unleash DeeDee and Irma on the Windy City.Varietease Cabaret (January 23, 2009) - De...

Here's us, DeeDee and Irma, during the January 09 Varietease Cabaret show, with a cautionary tale of life on the streets (just ask us--we've been there!). To help us tell our tale, we've enlisted the help of NWA and the musical stylings of their classic hit, "Gangsta Gangsta." Enjoy, ya bastards. And please don't shoot us.
Here's us, amongst the other hot beasties, doing an interview for the opening night of the "Beast Women Spring 2009 Series." Come see us, ya bastards.Who I'd like to meet:
Her Majesty the Queen of England, Tyra Banks (she's Teese, Bettie Page, Eve Ensler (she's a gay and she talks about Va-jay-jays), David Bowie ("Labyrinth"-era), Virginia Woolf, Mother Theresa, Charlie Chaplin, Sir Peter O'Toole, John Barrymore, and Drew, too!Details
