I noticed you have a picture of Karen Carpenter on your page. I knew Karen. She not only had a sweet voice, she was a sweet person. My mystery novels are set in Downey in the 1970, and the protagonist, Jimmy O'Brien lives in one of the Carpenter's apartments. The two apartment buildings are named after their songs, CLOSE TO YOU and YOU’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN.
