Trio Del Rio is MariLisa – (Voice, guitar) Tanner Swain – (Voice, guitar , lap steel guitar) George Lohr-Brown - (Basses) Stewart Lane ( Drums) Trio Del Rio challenges classification. Combining blues, rock, folk, western swing, Latin, jazz, R&B, Texas swing world standards. Tanner Swain is a North Texas State Graduate who his mother says was “making up songs in his crib.” Singing and performing in numerous choirs, jazz ensembles at UNT, his immense knowledge of music is second nature. His songs pull the listener in from off the street. MarLisa was taking vocal coaching from MaryAnn when late great Texas Music specialist/Producer Tary Owens decided to produce MariLisa’s 2002 CD “Take a Chance” (Favela Records). MariLisa and Tanner met during a songwriter circle in Austin in 1998. They have been making/performing beautiful music ever since. But Tanner and Marilisa had to hire Maryann Price to finally get her to listen to Tanner’s original songs! Ms Price’s reaction to Swain’s song “Whats to Say” was “You got any MORE like that?” Price is a veteran vocalist who has recorded and toured with Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks, Asleep at the Wheel and The Kinks, to name the famous. She has seven solo CDs. She coaches, produces, performs, records and arranges vocal harmonies with a strong, recognizable sound. Trio Del Rio will always bring their Texas, swingin', bluesy sound but their music has much more world, lating, jazzy stylings.
