ABOUT GIRL TALK "MD":



Girl Talk "MD" was started as an online project by The "M" (mother) and The "D" (daughter) as a way of doing something fun together.

Basically, the idea was multifold:

• The "M" is a writer and a photographer who discovered film-making.
• The "D" loves to communicate online with her friends.
• The "M"'s job is to edit the videos that they both make.
• The "D"'s job is to keep up the communications with their existing and new online friends.
• They could also begin to make "Vlogs" (video logs, a form of "blogging" but through video communications).
• They both feel that it is also a good opportunity to show others that there still exists a means whereby love and bonding can take place from parents to their children and from children to their parents... that love can, and should, exist between them in a special way.
• Because their family has traveled and lived in many foreign counties, this mother and daughter pair feel that, through vlogs and videos, they can share with others what it means to live and get to know and understand people from other countries... that "we are all fragile human beings, living on the same fragile planet, and holding within our tender human hearts the same feelings: worries, pains & sorrows, hopes, dreams, and desires."
• Lastly, they are hoping to spread the idea that the biggest bond that can hold us all together and save us as a species on this diminutive planet, are the two greatest gift that we can all offer... through giving CHARITY (love) towards others and by educating people to understand that we should stop harming our small planet and the life, including ours, on it. It is the only true physical home we have while we exist on this earth.

10 PERSONAL FACTS ABOUT THE "M" <3



1. She grew up in a small town in Florida on the "Space Coast".
2. She used to be a real "Surfer Girl" and began surfing in the 1960's when she was 13-years old, surfing waves in Florida, California, Baja Mexico, and Hawaii.
3. Her first professional board was made by Hawaiian legend, Dick Brewer, and sold to her by long-time friend, Dick Catri, known as "the Grandfather of East Coast surfing".
4. She has surfed small and BIG waves alongside Surfing Pros Shaun Tomson, Larry Bertlemann, Ben Aipa, Michael Ho, and a myriad of others...
5. She sang as 1st soprano in both her church and school choirs for years and, in high school, participated in a special madrigal group, which, along with her high school choir, swept first place in Florida State music competition when she was only 16-years old.
6. She worked at Disney World when she was 18 and between college semesters, while she was studying to become an elementary school science teacher, however, when opportunity knocked, she took a job with a major airline company and became a flight attendant instead. She says it changed her life! :)
7. She met The "D"'s dad in a romantic restaurant in South Florida while having "brunch" and she "fell instantly, head-over-heels in love with him". They have been married for almost 25 years. <3
8. Her favourite hobby is photography and she began using a professional camera when she was only 16-years old.
9. Her favourite things in life are seashells, flowers, furry animals, tropical fish, and children.
10. Her favourite season is Spring because "that's when the flowers begin to bloom".

TRIVIA ABOUT THE "M"

•She was raised in the same town as the birthplace of Jim Morrison of The Doors.

"Yeah... those were some days back then! All the girls had mad crushes on him because he was just so good-looking... and what a voice!" -The "M"

10 PERSONAL FACTS ABOUT THE "D":



1. She loves listening to all kinds of music and she can't say that any one kind is her "favourite" because she really does like so many.
2. She has a darling dog who loves her a lot.
3. She says, "I have a great mom and dad! They have been married for more than 25 years and they still hold hands! I hope to meet a great guy like my dad one day and be as good a mother as my mom!" <3
4. According to her genealogy chart, she is related to Audrey Hepburn (a cousin) and she is a direct descendant of Sir Thomas More, who was her great-great-+ grandfather, through his daughter, Margaret (Meg) Roper, who would be her great-something grandmother.
5. She likes to live a healthy lifestyle so she does not smoke or do drugs.
6. English is her native language, and she also speaks conversational Spanish and some French and she is now learning to speak Japanese and Mandarin! *^.^*
7. She says, "I have been privileged to have traveled and lived in several countries, including France, Belgium, and Italy, with my family... but our time spent in Argentina and a family vacation to the romantic island of Maui in Hawaii have been two of my favourites." <3
8. She is a GREAT fan of ICE HOCKEY! <3
9. Her favourite flowers are daffodils and soft-pink-coloured roses ("like my dad found for my mom one time").
10. When she was little, she took her first ballet lessons in Maestre, a small town near Venice, Italy. "My mother, (The "M") used to take me on a ferry boat ride and then a train ride, twice a week, round trip, just to get to class. I LOVED my ballet classes!" *^.^*

9 PROFESSIONAL FACTS ABOUT THE "D"



1. She is the "D" in the Daughter Part of Girl Talk "MD".
2. She finished courses (summer 2008) in a prep college where she studied French, Science, and Math and passed with high marks.
3. Her first language is English, but she also speaks Spanish and some French.
4. She wants to improve her command of the French language as "it is considered one of the world's most "Romantic Languages". It is also considered one of the highest intellectual languages because of all the great, historical French thinkers and writers from the past."
5. She recently undertook her entrance exams for university and obtained very good marks!
6. As a result of her studies, she was offered places at 7 different universities in Canada, 2 of which offered her scholarships.
7. She is majoring in the Arts!
8. She "LOVES INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGES" and is now fulfilling one of her dreams to study CHINESE (MANDARIN)." :D
9. She "makes fun, family entertainment videos with my amazing mother (the "M"). She makes me laugh!" <3

"Ever After" (1998) with Drew Barrymore and Dougray Scott.

I was 7-years old when this movie was released. I fell so much in love with the story, that I memorized every line in the movie... every line! XD I could verbally repeat the whole movie to my family, which I did, over and over again! I was fascinated with the fairytale, written like a true-life story, the sweetness of the main character, played by Drew Barrymore, and... I was big time crushing on Dougray Scott! *^o^*

When my dad was a little boy, he suffered a child's anguish of watching his mother lay in bed with a great sickness that not too many people understood back in those days... Breast Cancer.

Through much scientific study, we have been made much more aware of the need to "catch it in time"... or better yet, not to get it at all. Studies have shown that ingredients such as aluminum in underarm deodorants can contribute to the development of cancer in the breasts. Please check your labels before you buy. My family has switched to, and is highly recommending, natural deodorants without the ingredient of aluminum. You should consider it, too.

As frail, easily destructible human beings, we should be ever more mindful about what we put in and on our human bodies. As my mother says, "We are all so delicate."
