“A Locomotive Engineer”

    I leave you now to ride my horses of steel, for they depend on me to run them, no matter how I feel. As my train starts it's journey and leaves behind a lonely town, I have a smile upon my face, but it hides a lonely frown. My headlight burns a path while rolling through endless country sides as well as every little town, people hear me coming as my horn starts to sound.                            

    When the whistle starts to sing it's song, crying out that same old tune, many smiles wave to me, we hope to see you soon. The roaring of my engines can be heard from far away, soon I disappear into the horizon, hoping to return another day.    

    Sitting at the signal I've stopped my train to wait, for way off in the distance, will come another freight. While riding out these rails of steel, I run this rolling thunder. As I’m looking at the stars above, I often stop and wonder. This is the dream that gives to me my fame, while I'm running out of time, I know it's all part of the game….
