Music
Mostly rock
, some pop, swing music, fun oldies, and what are becoming the new classics (like the stuff we listened to in middle school).Check out the podcasts I did for DallasNews.com's coverage of SXSW! There's a lot of other cool stuff there, I swear. It's dallasnews.com/bandwidth.
My favorite musical EVER. See it if the tour comes near you:
Movies
I love random independent films. And cult classics. And horror movies. Both the good ones and the really bad ones.Television
Books
I'm the kind of girl that loves the smell of a new book. I love just about anything by Stephen King. I love all the Harry Potter books and have read them multiple times. I also have the tendency to like most of the books on high school required reading lists, such as Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Of Mice and Men, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, etc... My favorite book of all time is The Princess Bride by William Goldman. I also enjoy a good "chick lit" book every now and then.Heroes
Jesus Christ, who first loved me. My parents, without whom the life I have today would not be possible. My brother, who gives me hope for today's youth. My husband, whose drive to succeed inspires me daily. Stephen King, William Goldman, and J.K. Rowling, whose writing I love, respect, and aspire to emulate. Clay Young, who taught me not only what journalism is all about, but the importance of integrity and honesty in the newsroom.

About me:
I have an amazing husband who treats me like a princess. We have the cutest puppies in the world, Sadie, an Australian Shepherd mix, and Jammy, a yellow lab.
I'm originally from Mobile, AL, where my family lives. I moved to Dallas in the summer of 2006.
I run a lot of races, but I never expect to win. I think my favorite length is the half marathon, because you run long enough to feel accomplished but not long enough to feel like you're going to die. During the summer we bike, swim, kayak and do indoor rock climbing. During the spring and fall, we like to do races, including marathons, half marathons, and adventure races. We're now doing a lot of Crossfit. I'm not truly happy unless I break a sweat at least 5 times a week.
I started my own jewelry business, which you can find online at www.enduringsimplicity.com. Making jewelry has been a fun creative outlet for me.

Wanted to post this on your page to help spread the word. I'm fundraising online for a RED. My goal is to get a Red One. The same camera that was used to shoot The Book of Eli (Denzel Washington), Knowing (Nicolas Cage) and District 9. I plan to use the red camera to shoot my next feature film. If I reach my goal I'll update my red website with the history of where the camera has been, so people can track and follow all the projects it has been a part of.
I am fundraising and could really use your support if you can donate even a few dollars towards the cause, or help spread the word, I'd really appreciate it: http://www.indiegogo.com/help-me-buy-a-red

Hey hey! Just wanted to show some appreciation for your friendship =)
Hey Lauren,
Hope you're doing well.
We just posted our latest recording, "Lay Down".
We'd love to hear what you think of it :)

im moving to dallas soon!
We are asking the question, "if you had 1 minute to share something from your life, what would you share?" We are then recording/documenting what people say and will piece it all together into a feature length documentary. Some people so far have shared life experiences, advice, quotes, things they wish they knew growing up and many other things.
Come out and participate this Saturday in our Documentary! Filming (2/7 from 10am-3pm) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We will be taking some mail in submissions from people outside of the area if you want to record something and send it in. Or if you know anyone in the area that should participate, please let them know about it!
Participation is open to the public so tell your friends, details on where to come out and participate are on the blog...
