Movies
Just saw A history of violence - it went in my top ten immediately. Also Dangerous Liasons, Fame, Dogville, Up in Smoke, Some kind of Monster (the metallica doco), Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, Amelie, Spellbound, La Reine Margot, Leaving Las Vegas, The Princess Bride, Anything with Adam Sandler, Most documentaries. Absoloutly hated watching Dancer in the dark but thought it was brilliant.
Television
Lost, Buffy, Scrubs, any British comedy in its first or second season (it always goes downhill after that!), SATC, Big Brother, Home front (especially home front in the garden), River cottage (i want to be hugh), The Simpsons, Nip/Tuck, currently loving the music in Weeds - good job the weeds music man
Books
Just reread brave new world which was great, Shakespeare, Of mice and men, the time travellers wife, Middlesex, The poisonwood bible, everything is illuminated, harry potter, the handmaids tale, anything by Jeanette Winterson, the his dark materials trilogy are some good things i read recently... I also love William Gibson, and early Stephen King when he was Bachman (the running man, long walk etc) I am more a fiction girl than anything else. On the magazine front i love Vice - it is too funny, Time out, flux, and pretty much anything with pretty clothes or interiors (i am a magazine slut)
Heroes
Never really thought about it but i guess people like Ghandi and Nelson Mandela. People who devote their lives to good principles and the benefit of others. Sadly i find it easier to say my non heroes who sit on my kick in the balls list (does this say something about me), currently at the top is Ken Livingstone
