Check out "City of Saints and Madmen", or his latest "Shriek: An Afterword" Jeffrey Ford George R R Other favourites include: Umberto Eco, Italo Calvino, Jorge Luis Borges, R Scott Bakker, Steven Erikson... Poetrywise: TS Eliot and Philip Larkin are the two I can't help but go back to over and over again. John Donne, Roger McGough, Michael Longley, Seamus Heaney and Ted Hughes... the usual uspects.
