Surely the product of a deranged genius, at work in the catacombs of a long extinct volcano, working months without sleep by the lights of static cathode-ray tubes

K-A-I-B-O-S-H came crashing out of the gloomy, doom ridden lair. A twisted, raging hulk of buckled chrome and misshapen flesh. Pausing only to moan as it caught sight of its own deformed travesty in a pool of stagnant water, the creature lumbered inexorably on through wilderness: towards the light, towards the future.

The K-A-I-B-O-S-H was forged from an unholy alliance of unnatural elements: a voice of anguished pain and ethereal beauty, hands of rock and power; a soul of dark, throbbing, angry baseness; a quixotic mind exalted with beautiful, intricate melodies; and a pounding heart, pumping erratic rhythms, driving ever onwards.

Formed in the gin joints and seedy rehearsal spaces of North London, K-A-I-B-O-S-H, comprise elements of rock, soul, psychedelia, and visceral energy. With a sound that Kerrang describe as a Led Zeppelin meets The Doors hybrid often ending up nearer QOTSA epic freak outs... KKKK", Kaibosh are gathering an ever-growing army of supporters at their live shows in London and beyond.

Their new EP Contains Mild Peril, due for release imminently, showcases a highly developed musicality and a constantly evolving repertoire. Influences range from the deranged, edgy rock of The Mars Volta, through the sweeping grandeur of Jeff Buckley, the mellifluous melodies of Grieg, syncopated rhythms of New Orleans jazz and the massive, oozing post-punk of The Melvins.

Over the Summer K-A-I-B-O-S-H will be variously gigging, playing festivals and taking it easy.
