About me:
I'm an economic populist, economic nationalist, and economic patriot. ———
§ I'm an unapologetic Protectionist, and believe we should put tariffs on ALL imported manufactured goods. The tariffs should be high enough to completely eliminate our non-oil trade deficit within 3 years. We should immediately withdraw from every single one of our "free" trade agreements, along with the WTO. We should start by withdrawing from the WTO, and follow by withdrawing from NAFTA and CAFTA. We should immediately cancel PNTR with China. We should next cancel the Peruvian Free Trade agreement. ———
§ In the future, with the exception of oil, we should mandate that any country we import goods from will buy an equal (or larger) amount of our exports. ———
§ Regarding immigration, our primary policy should be prosecuting EMPLOYERS who hire illegal immigrants. We need to ensure that E-verify is made permanent, and mandate that employers use it. Those caught hiring illegally should be prosecuted, and either fined, imprisoned, or both. If enough employers were prosecuted, it would greatly reduce the hiring of illegal immigrants, if not completely eliminate it. Without the job magnet, most illegal immigrants would not have come here in the 1st place. Many that are here now would self-deport, if the job magnet was completely shut off. ———
§ Though a fence on the border may not be the best method to reduce illegal immigration, it is a permanent method that cannot be "repealed" by Congress at a later date, once it has been built. As such, this should be the #2 policy to reduce illegal immigration. ———
§ The H1B program should be eliminated, or at least greatly reduced. There is no shortage of American workers in any area. There is only a shortage of American EMPLOYERS willing to pay the market rate wage to American workers. Out of 235 million working age Americans, 93 million are NOT employed. America does not need more workers—it needs more jobs. ———
§ The combined effects of the "cheap labor lobby"—those wanting to import more workers & export American jobs—have reduced the standard of living for most Americans, while redistributing wealth upward—as a result of the labor cost savings of replacing an $18/hour American worker with a 50¢/hour foreign worker. Only a minuscule amount of the labor cost savings is passed on to American consumers, while the lion's share is passed on to rich CEO's, management, and rich stockholders of traitorous American multinational Corporations. ———
§ Reducing outsourcing thru tariffs, and reducing illegal immigration through Employer prosecution, is truly
"Change we can believe in."
