General* It is imperative that we stand up to this threat to our nation’s values and reinforce our true national character. The majority of Americans, if given a choice, will stand squarely on the side of respect for basic dignity, equality, and opportunity. Those are American values, and that’s what we’re fighting to protect.
Music* We refuse to sit idly while the essence of our national character is at stake – we owe it to the generations of Americans before us that stood against the divisive forces intolerance and xenophobia and in doing so, loudly and collectively stood up for our nation’s values.
Movies* We have a message for the anti-immigrant movement: turn down the volume on the intolerance and name-calling. The vitriol has reached a fever pitch and is tearing at America’s fabric. From Hazleton, PA to Carpentersville, IL our towns and cities have become casualties of the anti-immigrant movement’s maniacal tactics and intolerant agenda.
TelevisionWe believe that Americans of conscience have had enough. This campaign will offer a voice to those who believe that our communities are stronger when working together.
BooksA small, extremist faction is using their growing power and influence to prevent a reasonable values-based dialogue on immigration and what it means to our nation. We call on elected officials and Americans of good will to reject the politics of fear in exchange for a reasonable and respectful dialogue.
HeroesDignity, equality, and opportunity. Those are the values that have united Americans. Today, those hard-earned American values are being threatened by the rhetoric of hate and intolerance being spread by an effective minority of rabidly anti-immigrant bigots. Their dangerous and hurtful rhetoric is pitting Americans against one another, neighbor against neighbor, neighborhood against neighborhood and town against town. This campaign is about rejecting the vicious anti-American rhetoric and shameful ideology.

About me:For generations our nation has learned to thrive and overcome our challenges because Americans of all walks of life and backgrounds chose to stand up for the values that unite us and against the forces that seek to divide Americans. At critical junctures throughout our history, Americans have come together to defend our nation’s historic commitment to unity, equality, and opportunity. Today, that promise is under attack by an increasingly vicious anti-immigrant movement that seeks to divide our nation in order to turn back the clock on American values. This hateful movement represents a serious threat to our national values and embodies one off the defining challenges for our generation of Americans. It is critical that the Hip-Hop community stand up and get behind our brothers and sisters. As the collapse of last summer’s bi-partisan immigration reform legislation demonstrated, this movement is growing increasingly powerful and ever more hateful. It is up to those Americans who value dignity, unity, and respect to stand up and make their voice heard now. The Campaign for a United America promises to bring Americans together by standing up for the best that our nation represents.
Who I'd like to meet:The anti-immigrant movement has created unimaginable division and disunity throughout our communities. As Americans of conscience we must stand up to bigotry and hatred. We call on all Americans who value basic dignity and, respect our nation’s historic commitment to unity, equality, and opportunity to reject anti-immigrant bigotry and stand together in defense of our shared American values. The essence of our national character is at stake.
