Belle and Sebastian, Pedro the lion, Simon and Garfunkle, Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Essex Green, the Beatles and (subconciously) the stuff we listened to growing up. You know, like James Taylor, Hymns at Church, 80's radio, 90's radio, oldies radio, and the Muppets and stuff...

Hmmmm....Doesn't everyone hate this question?
If you listen closely you can hear my brother's pithy comment.
A very interesting mixture: The visuals of extreme mountain biking to the strains of our music. These videos are from a performance we did at the Bikeology festival in Edmonton. It was a super nice day.
This first one has clips from a few different songs: Sweet Refrain, Rest, If I Was Here Today.
This is a view of beaver hills park during bikeology. The song is "To Keep you from Leaving"

War Child helps these children that have been affected by war. Check out the new blog – the whole story is up there. Love to have you be a part of it.
You’ll find a Blog, Tour page and a Bio page. I’ll be blogging daily from the road.

Haha, awesome, I've actually been listening more to the Lovin' Spoonful lately, and marveling at John Sebastian's song writing. So, that's definitely high praise. Thanks. - Michael
well, it depends on who you are, I actually can't remember if i spoke with you or not, but about a year and a half ago, my old band the subatomics, opened for the bicycles with you. I really dug you guys's sound too, as I am, or wasparticularly at the time, quite into belle and sebastian. I have met Joel too, your drummer ( or you, if this is Joel), briefly attaylor college where he is emploed. Anyway, Peter Sabo and I go to the same church, so in one of our many conversations Toy Singers came up. Also, when I got a tour of Taylor, I met Joel, and it was bugging me so badly cause I couldn't remember where I recognized his face from, later i was told of his affiliation with toy singers, and I put two and two together.
Also, no rush for shows, we need to learn to walk before we can run.
Yup. I will be solo, not enough time to get something else together. Nothing wrong with that though, I like playing solo. Stoked to see you guys, I'm sure you'll still be great!
HEY! thanks a whole lot, the horses may actually be getting together sometime soon to pickup where we left off about a year and a half ago, write more songs and maby play shows. If so, would you perhaps want to include us in an upcoming show you are taking part in?
