Hello and welcome! My name is Erin. I started my career in the "body modification" industry in 1999. It all began after a brief stint in Champaign, Illinois where I learned to do body piercings. I returned to Ohio in 2000, searched for a job for about a month, until I ended up at White Tiger Tattoos in Akron, Ohio. Tattooing was not my first choice, the owner of the shop hired me in under his rule that if I "wanted to pierce in his shop, I had to learn how to tattoo also". And so it began. I have been professionally tattooing since November of 2001. And had been through quite a few tattoo shops. Finally, I ended up with the Illustrators in August of 2004 and have been here ever since. I love what I do, and can't imagine doing anything else.
Cover-ups and reworks are what I do best. I enjoy the challenge. However, I can do just about anything you want.
I charge by the piece or the session, not by the hour. You deserve to know what you are getting in to price-wise, and should not be bankrupt from paying for your tattoo in the end. Yes, I have heard the saying "cheap tattoos aren't good, and good tattoos aren't cheap", whatever, I keep my prices fair, and tattoos good. That's what keeps my customers coming back time and time again. I do offer free touch-ups on my tattoos, as long as you don't come back to me after years expecting to get it re-done. Come back in a reasonable amount of time, and you have a deal.
I'm a pretty straight forward person when it comes to all this. I don't think you should be left in the dark when it comes to the process of being tattooed. Free advice is just that - free. I welcome phone calls, and be prepared to talk. Especially about your tattoo.
I absolutely -WILL NOT- tattoo racist symbolism, anything derogatory, drug or gang related, anti-God, etc. That is just my personal thing, and I won't be held responsible for someone else's ignorance. I also do not use or condone the use of black-light reactive tattoo ink.
I proudly use Skin Candy, Intenze and Talens inks. All needles are pre-made, pre-packaged and pre-sterilized. The shop I work for has autoclave records on hand, and is Health Department licensed and approved. I am certified in bloodbourne pathogen, CPR and First Aid. I also have had my Hepatitis-B vaccines.
Any questions, please just send me an email. Or give the shop a call and ask for Erin.
I'm there Mondays and Tuesdays 12-8, Fridays 12-9 and some Saturdays from 12-9. I work mostly by appointments, but do take walk-ins when I can.
