The band used to be a trio and is from now on a fourpiece.....Les 39th and Norton tirent leur nom d'une rencontre morbide entre deux rues de L.A. où fut retrouvée morte Le Dahlia Noir en 1947, et d'une rencontre plus brillante en 2005 à Rouen entre Paul (basse / chant) et Guillaume (chant / guitare), bientôt rejoints par Arthur (batterie / chant) et Robin (guitare). Activistes farouches de la scène Rouennaise, les 39th and Norton jouent un post rock sec et racé, tirant sur le stoner mais ne crachant pas sur la mélodie. Leurs nombreuses dates passées (première partie de the Rakes, The Lords of Altamont, Hitch, Alamo Race Track, Terrasses du Jeudi 2007, présélections du Printemps de Bourges 2008) leur ont donné un sérieux sens de la scène: ne les manquez pas si ils viennent rôder près de chez vous......... .. .. .. .. ..
