About me: With the generous support of the Staten Island Foundation, St. John’s University, College of Staten Island, CUNY and Wagner College present “Civic Engagement 2008: The Three College Lecture Series.” Our aim is to bring great speakers to our campuses to discuss the important political issues that confront the nation so that our students and Staten Islanders can make a better informed decision on November 4, 2008. We also believe that provocative yet civil discussion and debate promotes citizenship and civic participation.
