Greetings! Thanks for stopping by our little corner of the world wide web. If you haven't been here before, we (the Cosmonauts) are a three piece blues/rock band. We've been together since 2008 and we primarily play original music though recently we have been developing a couple sets of cover tunes. We are all long time Madisonians and come from bands that you may have heard in the past (Northern Pines Band, Spry Spector). We've played 8 or 9 shows in the last year and have been pleased to share the stage with bands like the New Mountain Kickers, Yokanizu Project and Nascent. We are interested in connecting with music lovers, musicians, poets, writers, readers, artists, club owners and anyone who wants to stop by and open up a dialogue about life, love, music, politics, the Green Bay Packers, etc. We are working on scheduling gigs for the coming year and would love to see you at our shows. Check out our tunes and videos. We'll be adding more of the live and recorded stuff soon. Peace and thanks for supporting live local music! It's the sustainable thing to do!

We aren't trying to sound like anybody but all of our influences are in there somewhere in the mix. To me it sounds like funky/ blues/ folk rock with diminished 9th chords and cymbal jangle over some really fat tone clusters with a little chorus and phasing thrown in to add some shimmer. Listen and tell us what you think it sounds like.
