Sounds Like
The Drumming of The Dave Matthews Band and Rush, The Guitar playing of Pearl Jam and The Strokes, Great Lyrics, The voice of Cake and The Violent Femmes, The songwriting of Weezer and Bright Eyes, and our Bass player pretty much just plays whatever the hell he wants!!!
A diverse mix of all things rock. The J's dabble in rock, funk, indie, alternative, jam band, and pop. Opinionated and in your face. They get their point across and leave you humming their tunes. -------------
Playing together for over 6 years now the members include Alex Marlys (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, and Keys), Josh Mayer (Percussion, Vocals, Acoustic Guitar), John Corcoran (Lead Guitar and vocals), and Jordan Magitz (Bass). They named themselves 3 J’s in the A.M. Come on, I’m sure you can figure it out. In 2008 the J's welcomed Devin Sellers to the lineup. Devin is a talented guitarist and the J's could not be happier!----------------
The local South Jersey boys, who formed this new alternative rock/jam band in 2000, were caught off guard by the overwhelming demand of their first demo "On This Road" in 2002. After practicing and playing some small hometown gigs the band is now in full force. In 2004 the band released a new demo that launched them outta the burbs and into the cities known as "Lay Off The Clementine.” The gigs got bigger and then fans multiplied. Lately, they have played and packed some of the best bars and clubs on the East coast including The TROC MAINSTAGE, Grape St, Fergies, Love Park, The Stone Pony, The Pontiac Grille, The Lion’s Den in NYC, Parkside Lounge in NYC, Maxwell's in Hoboken, the Wachovia Center’s Cingular Pavillion, and many more. In the summer of 2005 they put their hearts and souls into their third CD called “Pop Pop.” With great album reviews, 6 years under their belt, and the honor of being named one of Philly's top ten local bands of 2005 by Social Philly Magazine the band is stronger and better than ever. In January of 2007 they went back into the studio to record their best material to date. 2007 also started off with a bang, because the band was featured in Impulse Online and was named a band to "watch out for." The best news to date for the band is they were recently signed to Argento Records. This can only mean more good things are coming. Watch out world, the J's are coming!

I've watched this band grow from a little baby lizard into Godzilla. You guys are so good now, it's crazy. I can't wait for this summer. Keep on keepin on.
Whats up guys? We're all gonna try to make it to the troc to see you guys, although I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it. I think most of the other guys were. We definitely do have to play another show soon though, we'll let you know if anything comes up and you guys do the same.
Yeah, it should definitely be a great time. Last time we played the troc, we sold all our tickets and still ended up opening the show cuz everyone else sold all their tickets too. We're trying to pack the place this time.

Dear Favorite Band, I will not be able to make an appearance this Saturday, but I'm sure you guys will do just as good and have an awesome show. Good luck. Love Always, Your Mel.
I'm sorry gentlemen, but I'm going to miss the North Star show. Thus ends a pretty impressive streak of shows I've been to this summer. Kick ass, and by all means, DO NOT cover "Teenage Dirtbag."
