SETH:
Seth Horan left RCA buzz band Vertical Horizon in 1998 and decided to play his songs alone on his bass. He toured the USA (literally) from March of 2002 until June of 2005, living in his car and building a sizable following; turning heads with his blend of fingerpicking, slapping, tapping, harmonics, and chording to accompany his voice. To quote the Ocean City Beachcomber: "He plays solo bass guitar like Victor Wooten, sings songs like John Mayer and Ani DiFranco, and performs with the intensity of Martin Sexton. Hes a freak of nature, and hes phenomenal."
TOM:
Armed with 4 strings, theatrical voice, killer wit and the will to live, Tom Bianchi is always ready to put on a show. Improvisation is a big part of the routine as he weaves seamlessly in and out of songs, good times and fun. Funky bass lines, witty humor, and killer tunes is what you can expect when you go to see this self-proclaimed 24 hour entertainer. The Boston Phoenix says: "The guy is funny, and he's singing about exactly what's happening to all of us right this second."
GONZALO:
Gonzalo Silva is something of a legend in the subways of both Boston and New York. For over a decade, the majority of his performances have been as a busker; a street musician, living off tips and CD sales with only the sounds of his voice and his bass to lure in his ever-growing listener base. He has been harrassed. He has been heckled. He has been arrested more than once. Most importantly, however, he has been recognized for his art. His stark arrangements and soothing baritone belie a deft musicianship that has been captivating listeners ...and making them miss their trains.
"How do I feel about bass?" I'm afraid I don't understand the question. For one thing, do you mean "bass" as in the instrument, or "bass" as in the fish, in reference to my dinner offer? This question is at least 50% serious, by the way. Either way, sure, bass is awesome! See ya soon. :-)
You guys need to let me know when you figure out where that Philly Show is gonna be. I'll make sure to take off work that night and I'll make it wherever cuz I'll finally be 21.
