About me:
3OP is an acoustic duo made of Scott Splawn of Splawn Amps fame and Wayne Bolin who really has no fame claim at all. Scott and I were in a Christian Rock band called Xsalt for about 7 or so years, we had a blast playing and worshipping together but when Xsalt came to a close we had pretty much retired our guitars or should I say our stage persona's. Then one day @ work (NCANG) I was asked to put a band together for family day. The Air Guard is a large operation in Charlotte and we had only a short time to get a few songs together, so Scott and I teamed up with a cool drummer named Dusty for our first show as the 3 O'clock Poeple. We practiced like twice before we went on stage and played our 8 songs we'd learned. We saved a real gem for our last number, Man of Constant sorrows by the soggy bottom boys. The movie had achieved cult classic status around the guard, many a tent in Kuwait has seen Oh Brother. That first show was June of 05. Since then we've played for youth groups and Coffee Houses around Charlotte and Gastonia.

Hey everybody!!!

Advanced Auto Parts has asked the youth to do a car wash for them this Saturday (the 14th) from 9am-1pm. It's the one by CiCi's Pizza & Jack in the Box on the corner of Hwy 49 and Carowinds Blvd. They will supply the water, buckets, soap, and sponges. The car washes will be free. This is a great way to serve the community while having fun in the water! Email driveucrazy@comporium.net or call 803/371-4495 ASAP if you are able to serve.

We need one garden hose and one nozzle....if you have either of these items that we can use, please inform me.

Thanks,

Angel Calci

Hey!
Sunday night following the Baptism at 5:30 PM at Camp Thunderbird, which I encourage you all to attend, is a movie night over at the Starnes' house. It'll probably start around 8 or 8:30... depending on when the Baptism ends... and will probably be over by 10 or 10:30. We'll be doing this outside so bring a camping chair or blanket (to sit on), movie snacks (chips, etc. because we're not having a dinner), and bring your friends! Spread the word to the other youth that probably won't read this.

Hope to see you there!
KIMBERLY

Four Decades of Folk Rock

This specially compiled 4 CD Box Set from Time Life features the best
Folk Rock songs from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s!
Includes 71 Songs That Defined An Era and Influenced Generations...
In Stores September 11

Not just another genre, folk rock was born as a statement—of purpose, of taste, of superiority—the baby boom’s first imprimatur, a musical mission and a personal battle cry in a divisive time of racial tension and escalating war. For a generation of philosopher dropouts and drug-inspired visionaries, it was also the best way to partake in the era’s hippest form of artistic expression, in numbers previously unknown to man.

Yo yo my engineering bro. I hear that the jacobs crashed his bicycle in a most not so awesome fashion. As for me the new ride is formerly of the Dave rown clan of Scott CR1. Ultegra groupo and a very nice saddle to accompany. I am in minnessota now with kate and will not be back until the 30th. Ride ride ride. I can see a 60 miler in the distant future. Yes I am 21 now in fact I am 24 now. Tahnks for the wishes.

Hi 3 O'Clock People!

As we are about to celebrate Easter, I wanted to send You the lyrics of a song I wrote a long time ago as a reminder of God´s unconditional love.

Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
For there can´t be a greater love than to lay down your life for a friend
The wheel of history´s turning, as he forgives in pain
In meekness and humility there dies the son of man

Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a priceless treasure, not a billion words could explain
He´s called “a friend of sinners”, though he is pure in heart
If he was not a sinner´s friend, my friend he could not be

Consider how he loves you, consider how he cares
He is a God of mercy, amazing is his grace
With words of deep affection He is knocking at my door
That I might listen and adore the greatest friend of all

Have a blessed holiday!

Arne

Hey Wayne,
Its good to know that your still okay. I'm sorry that you have to work long shifts, but if the foods good, then you have no problem. =]. And your thinking ahead about biking... haha.

Sandy's doing fine. In a rain a while back the top of her cage started to sink in, but your dad put a pole up to keep it high and help drain the water.

Hi 3 O'Clock People,

I´m just stopping by to send a little encouragement from the scriptures - those verses just struck me tonite ... :-))

Therefore we do not loose heart! Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal...

It is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come!!! (2. Cor 4,16 ff.)

Take courage and have a great week!!
Cheers and Blessings!
Arne

Hi 3 O'Clock People,

As the year comes to a close, I quickly wanted to say thanks for joining me on my myspace journey. Actually, the last 3 months have been quite a ride for me, as I was starting to utilize this at that time for me totally unknown communication platform to introduce people to my music and story. And the response has been tremendous!!!

Thanks again, and I hope You will stop by in 2007 again. In case You have not checked out www.myspace.com/arnekopfermannband yet: I started this 2nd site to share a few more rather worshipful songs, that are working great for the church in Germany. Hopefully they will speak to You as well!

Last but not least: In case You are still looking for last minute Christmas presents, You will find my CD “With All My Heart” at www.m2sound.com/arne. Or just click the banner…

Have a great Christmas!!! The story of God becoming flesh will never stop to amaze me!

B blessed!
Arne
