   About 3 Outa' Four
We're going to NASHVILLE!!! We recently qualified for the International Barbershop Harmony Society Contest in July. This will be our second appearance at the International Contest and we are extremely excited! We have been singing together for alittle over a two years. The members consist of three family members and a close family friend.

Duane Christensen (Tenor)- The father of lead, Eric and baritone, Ian Christensen. He started singing barbershop at the ripe old age of 18 after attending the 1973 International Convention held in Portland. He sang tenor with Ian and Eric in a popular Evergreen District quartet called D.I.C.E. He was the local chairman of the 2002 International Barbershop Convention which was held in Portland. Duane is married to Terri McCormic and they have three children, Ian, Eric and daughter Andrea.

Eric Christensen (Lead)- Started singing at the tender age of 9. He sang with brother Ian and father Duane in the quartet D.I.C.E. After D.I.C.E, Eric went on to sing with his brother in a group called Bachelor Party, which later became Sold Out. Sold Out won the 2000 Evergreen District Contest. Eric graduted from Oregon State University and now works for Fisher Construction in Albany.

Lowell Smith (Bass)- Like all the members of the quartet, Lowell also started singing barbershop as a teenager. He has sung in several quartets. In 1985 he sang with Golden Heritage. Ian and Eric's two uncles, Tim and Mike McCormic, also sang in the Golden Heritage. Lowell Smith decided to take some time out from barbershop to focus on his family, wife Barbara, daughter Jaime and son, Jeremy. Lowell is a restaurant entrepreneur with businesses in the Portalnd area.

Ian Christensen (Baritone)- Started singing at age 10 with brother Eric, father Duane and family friend Charlie Tindall in the group D.I.C.E. Little did he know that his former bass would later become part of the family. Ian married his former bass' neice Crystal Imes in August 2007. He later went on to sing with brother Eric, Tim Boersma and Ben McGowan in a group called Bachelor Party. Once Tim left the quartet a good friend Brian Sell joined the group, and became Sold Out. Sold Out went on to compete at the International competition in Louisville, Kentucky and place 19th. Ian graduated from Oregon State University and works for Anning-Johnson in Wilsonville as a project estimator. Come visit our new website at: www.3outafour.com
