3 Pin Socket formed after meeting in their first year of secondary school. Guy, Joby and Rob were unaware of each other’s talent until they appeared individually at a Christmas school concert in 2006, they agreed to form a band the same night and soon began to write and play their own material. They recorded their very first song 'Rain is Falling' at Birmingham’s Rich Bitch Studios in May 2007 before returning three months later after selling enough school concert tickets to pay for another session. 3PS then played their first gig by supporting local band Kick at a charity event held at Chasewater. Despite being the youngest act in the competition by far, the lads won Battle of the Bands at Cannock Chase Technical College in August 2007 after wowing judges Shaun Williamson (EastEnders and Extras actor) and Dan Morfitt (Kerrang! Radio DJ). Morfitt was so impressed he aired Lost in Misery on his show the following afternoon........................................ 2008 began where 2007 left off with the trio returning to The Circle in Worksop by popular demand. In April they travelled to Three Mill Studios in East London to film their first-ever TV appearance, performing 'Lost in Misery' on CBBC talent show The Slammer, 3PS won the show and then went on to earn rave reviews following their biggest gig to date at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre. Further gig's included the outdoor rock concert at Shrewsbury School and a return to Chasewater this summer for another show with Kick. 'Lets Rock' made it onto the airwaves at Kerrang
