May 2009: Gaedan Luescher (b) joined the band.

3rd@tempt (Third Attempt) was founded in May 2002 after three attempts to find a guitar- or keyboard player.
The musical mind ancestry was obvious from the very first moment, the deep ground laid in the challenge of interpretation binary rhythms, like Funk, (Jazz-)Rock, Fusion and Latin.
The repertoire mainly consists of contemporary compositions, the „standardish“ playing disappears with the growing maturity of the band concerning improvisation and performance.
The years lasting evolution of 3rd@tempt results in an interesting performance of creative craft and spontaneity thus 3rd@tempt is a real Live-Band (each concert is well-planned, pragmatic and unique).

The concept of “NuclearFunk”
The term was created at a session in the beginning of 2004 in Niederdorf/Switzerland. The amazing energy of our music led us to that name to describe our basic concept.
We had the feeling that this energy made us fly. „NuclearFunk“ is the expression we created to put our sound architecture into words.
