The collaboration between Reshard Radford (piano/keys), Michael Catts (upright and electric bass), and Jason Bohl (drums), known as 3 SPOT, is quickly gaining notoriety in the Pacific Northwest’s music scene as a rising force worth checking out. With their fusion of Jazz, R&B, Funk, and even a little Gospel, they’re treating audiences to their unique blend and new school approach to the classic *power* trio, with some added vocals. They’re quickly proving that they can deliver a solid foundation and tight lines, all the while still being able to bring it back down and break your heart (or make you fall in love) with their vocals. Although both have a strong background in Jazz, their goal was to put the focus on some of their other influences, creating a more groove based sound. They have been featured on the 08.23.08 episode of ‘SONARCHY’ on KEXP 90.3 FM (Seattle), as well as performed at various venues around Seattle, western Washington, and the northwest.
