Three star hotel was formed during the summer of 2003. The 4 members already knew each other because they studied music in the same school and even had played together before.On their first performances, Sébastien, Thierry, Maxime and Loïc only played covers. But they quickly felt like writing and recording themselves their own stuff.Thus their first record was released by the end of the summer of 2003. Entitled Baby superstar, it contained 15 of their own songs and a Kylie Minogues cover. All these songs had been played for months before the release.This record gave them the opportunity to play many times with other bands.In February 2004, Maxime decided to leave the band. He was replaced in April by Hugo, who was already known by the other members. On April 15th they supported Uncommonmenfrommars for a show.During the summer of 2004 they recorded 12 new songs. For their new cd, they tried to increase the quality of the recording and asked to an Art student to draw them a picture for it. This second cd entitled Waiting for the first fan was eventually released by the end of the summer of 2005, after months of recording, mixing, editing and promotion.Three Star Hotel is influenced by many bands, mostly English and American.
Three Star Hotel se forme en été 2003 , les quatre membres se connaissent déjà et jouent ensemble depuis un moment sur les bancs de l Ecole Nationale de Musique et de Danse des Landes.Sébastien, Thierry, Maxime et Loïc commencent par donner plusieurs concerts ne comportant que des reprises. Mais très vite lenvie de composer se fait sentir et ils se lancent dans laventure épique de lenregistrement autoproduit.Cest ainsi quà la fin de lété 2003 « Baby Superstar » voit le jour : 15 compositions et une reprise rodées pendant plusieurs mois en concert.Peu après, Maxime quitte le groupe. Hugo, lui aussi élève de lENMDL et ayant déjà accompagné les autres membres, le remplace peu avant un concert à Soustons en compagnie de Précipitation, ainsi quà Tarbes en première partie dUncommonmenfrommars . Au début de lété 2004, le groupe décide denregistrer de nouvelles chansons, ils investissent pour améliorer la qualité denregistrement, et y passe encore plus de temps.Les enregistrements et le mixage sont terminés au début de lannée 2005. Les nouvelles chansons ont été jouées à de nombreuses occasions, en particulier en première partie de Deportivo à Tarbes.A la fin de l'été 2005, ce deuxième album, « Waiting for the first fan » est enfin terminé et se compose de 13 chansons originales.
