3X7 is influenced in many different ways on many different levels by many different things. Anything can inspire a feeling, mood or new perspective. It is because of this that anything can inspire a melody or a riff and song. Every song is written differently. Sometimes a song comes together in very little time and every component is obvious and comes right out. Sometimes a song takes a long time to evolve from a simple idea into something complete. It's because of this loose set formula that each song is different but still able to relate to another. That creative style also helps us appeal to a wider range of music lovers. Many songs are written on the acoustic guitar but are easily translated to a plugged in heavy sound. That flexibility allows the listener to hear the songs in a couple of different ways so they can appreciate both versions or if they prefer one or the other.
Music is beauty for the ears to gaze upon in awe. When a picture paints every detail you realize you're actually inside the picture, and not just staring at it. -JO
3X7 or threeXseven (pronounced three ex seven) is an Aluminum Rock band from Western Kansas. Aluminum Rock as described by the band has the same properties as aluminum the common metal in that it is hard but malleable. It's an all encompassing approach to making music that generally anyone can enjoy. It ranges all the way from mellow acoustic sounds to heavy metallic sounds while mostly occupying the space in between the two extremes.
The band consists of four 18 to 25 year olds: James Dean Hobbs (Vocals, Guitar), Kenny Zahn (Lead Guitar), Paul Kaiser (Bass)
and Zach Bizzell(Drums). 3X7 first formed in 2002 and has been in it's current line up since 2005.
