My little brother, Landon. Now known as Airman Johnston. He's done what I should have done long ago and for pretty much the same reasons.
My grandpa is the hardest working man I've ever known. He was the only positive male influence in my life for a long time. Things with us have changed drastically lately but I refuse to let go of how I saw him as a child.
My Mom basically raised my little brother and me by herself. She worked her @$$ off (and still is) to make sure we always had what we wanted.
My girlfriend, Amanda, impresses me daily with her optimism, work ethic, drive and ambition. Her personality alone is my hero!
Any hero list of mine wouldn't be complete without including Batman...Since as far back as I can remember he's been a part of my life and the only consistent thing I've known. Our likenesses are eerie and our goals and struggles the same.
About me:
I'm currently busting my ass to lose weight so I can join the military. It's odd at my age to be looking at the military but I almost joined once before and have regretted not doing it for many years...............................................If you know me closely, you know Amanda. We've been together for closer to six years now and we seem to get a routine series of questions from everyone so I'll go ahead and take care of those now.
No, we are not married. We don't want to get married in a backyard so until both our lives are in order enough to have the dream wedding we want, we are more than content. No, we do not have children. We have no plans to have kids any time soon. We are quite proud of that fact and our plans and thoughts about it are mutual. We are just enjoying life and each other right now. No sense in contributing to the nations divorce and broken home statistics.
She and I are completely different which I think is key to our relationship's success. I've never known a more vibrant, outgoing, positive, driven person and I am proud and privileged to have her love. She truly is my balance as well as my goal in life.............................................................
