At any time there are thousands of items for sale on Japanese auction sites and web pages, many almost never available in any other country, and prohibitively expensive the rare times they are!

Unfortunately, shopping directly from Japan means shopping in Japanese, another barrier to overcome. And most Japanese sellers won't ship overseas, and then there are the issues of paying in yen....the issues just keep piling up, making your dream item seem almost impossible.
