Drumsound ( Andrew Wright & Ben Wigget ) alongside long time business partner Simon ‘Bassline’ Smith, are without doubt one of the leading heavyweight dj / production duo’s in the world of drum ’n’ bass… Its sometimes overlooked, but over the last ten years they are one of the few artists ‘ever in drum & bass history’ to have had releases on nearly all of the world’s leading d’n’b labels ranging from the darker pioneering labels like grooveriders 'Prototype recordings' & Adam f & Fresh's 'Breakbeat Kaos' to high quality liquid labels such as: Ltj bukem’s - Good looking records and Fabio's 'Creative source' imprint. Not only are Drumsound / Bassline smith one of the few quality artists versatile enough to make all styles of d’n’b but they are also lucky enough to have a very successful label of their own to showcase their unique spectrum of musical diversity. Technique Recordings. With tunes such as 'Odyssey', Cape fear, Skumbag, Cold Turkey and more recently Everybody Pump it is clear to see why the boys regularly gain support from all major Dj’s across the D’n’b scene as well as achieving regular ‘airtime’ and ‘interviews’ from their fans at BBC radio 1 and the BBC’s urban station ‘1xtra’ from dj’s such as:- Annie mac, Zane Lowe, Crissy cris and of course… The legends… Mr fabio ‘n’ grooverider. Aswell as their never ending studio schedule the boys are consistently touring the planet ripping up the decks alongside the world’s most prolific dj’s & mc’s headlining some of the biggest raves including:- One nation, Accelerated culture, Slammin’ vinyl, Warning, Innovation, World of drum & bass, Raveology amongst others… All of this experience, smashing up dance-floors on the global d’n’b circuit, has not only given them the edge as dj’s but has given them the knowledge and diversity to create their own individual ‘Technique’ sound which is now firmly established in the drum and bass hall of fame… Its easy to see why Drumsound and Bassline’s consistent commitment to quality and musical versatility has kept them at the top of the game for so many years.
