I have worked a lot with ventilation (from within – from without – from within), communication between two spaces. The breath of life pulsing, creating/maintaining. A continuation of my work with electricity. – On a larger scale ventilation becomes the important contact between several elements (the maintenance).
I also have a hat – a Babylonian royal crown – which from the beginning was an air filter for a SAAB 96. It is perfect! Not a heavy, solid metal (gold) crown which consolidates the unattainable, the self-sufficiency of the wearer/the king, but a ventilation crown which shows the in and out flow in human thought and contact. The head as a communicative vessel.
A relationship between two different poles, levels, positions, characteristics, generates energy, movement, power, light. Within a system there exists several such relationships, which in a subtle way co-operate for the common generation of the entire system. These different relationships build an undissolvable unity, a body that strives to build a closed system, but in itself is only a new, larger pole that requires yet another pole in order that the creation of an even larger strength would be rendered possible. (Is there possibly a pole that is so self-sufficient, that it does not need another opposite pole in order to be creative? Is this then a divine pole, the origin of all creation?).
To create a system so strong that as well as being a model it also develops as an independent life. To build a work of art as such a system; there is no lesser ambition for an artist. If he does not have that ambition, then he has no ambition at all.
In the garden: the house is surrounded by yellow & black coloured signs, it appears that there are no doors. Air ventilators (placed high up in certain places, low in others) seem to be the only passage between inside and outside. A faint, dull buzzing can be heard from within. It smells of ozone and in the light in front of each ventilator a slight movement in the air can be discerned.
