According to Myspace, today is 40 Bands' birthday. Well congratulations! A lot of water has passed under the proverbial bridge since that night at Il Corral. It could never happen quite the same again. I'm so happy to have been involved. Thank you for inviting me.
There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.

THE DRUID UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL is accepting submissions for an hour long exhibition of strange short works for a Halloween Bash October 27th in Los Angeles. Find out more about past fests by visiting burgessministry.com
THE DRUID UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL is looking for fresh works, under 20 minutes that showcase the filmmakers unique vision. Your film be in any genre, any taste level and may be on any topic- surprise us! What we are looking for is unique and engaging! Spooky is a Plus for this exhibition!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Entry must be postmarked by Saturday, OCTOBER 13TH.
EXPOSURE: Winning entries will be announced on our myspace page and screened at our exclusive event. Media such as aintitcoolnews, LA Weekly, LA City Beat have been known to attend screenings in the past and will have a chance to speak with the filmmakers.
JUDGEMENT: Entries will be judged according to the overall success of the production and the expression of a unique vision. Head curator of DUFF is filmmaker William Burgess. Judges will take into account the overall effectiveness and not necessarily its level of technical sophistication. Animation with an abnormal or extraordinary outlook is also welcomed.
Winners will be notified by screening date and will receive special recognition and admission to the festival.
ENTRY GUIDELINES:
All Entries must be on either VHS, DVD or Mini-DV.
All entries must be labeled with the filmmakers name, film title, total running time, phone number and email.
No entries will be returned.
Entries will be accepted in all languages (though foreign works without subtitles may be tough for us English folk).
ENTRY IS FREE!
