40 Gun Flagship is Bobbie Hollywood, Buzz Thomson, Andy Shaw, and Jimmy Palmer. The band was formed in the spring of 2008 and has since enjoyed a great deal of success through a combination of strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to their craft. Since it’s inception, 40 Guns have gained a dedicated and enduring following that continues to grow rapidly. During the winter months of 2008, the band entered Echo Base Studio in Calgary to record their first release; the self-titled “40 Gun Flagship EP”.
Following the release of the EP, 40 Gun Flagship has seen a number of exciting developments. In February of 2009, the band competed in a Calgary radio station contest for $20,000. After taking home the top prize in this contest, the band immediately began planning numerous tour dates throughout the summer. Following their first mini-tour into Central Canada, 40 Guns became a fixture on the University of Calgary radio station CJSW, reaching 14 on the Top 50 Chart for the station in their first week. The band has also been featured a number of times on Calgary’s Fuel 90.3 FM.
As the summer months progress, 40 Gun Flagship can be seen in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Kelowna, and Victoria. The band is in the planning stages of a run through Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal. Along with extensive touring plans, the band has written an exciting new repertoire that will be recorded and released in late 2009.

Tour is going pretty good!! Very long and we are stoked to be home in 11 days and have a month off haha. I think it is well deserved. Take care dudes!!!!
