40 ounce J started out as Yer-A-Nation. We played probably 5 actual shows, and then didn't play anymore. For like 10 years.
In 2006, Otis built a nightclub in his basement, complete with bar and dancefloor (stripper pole pending). He started playing again regularly, and talked Shane into bringing his drums over. A good time was had by all.
Otis was home for lunch one day, and made up "Beer Run", which is what really started 40 ounce J. Shane heavily bribed Sea Bass to show up one night (I think it was food from Taco John's), and he is now our bass player.
At this point, we really have no idea what the hell we're doing. Hopefully it'll come to us.
Whats up guys, nice video by the way. Dennis and Greg from the beverage barn is a sponser of ours. And we are doing our first show back tomorrow night at Matthews Bar in the Valley just north off pines exit. Hope to see you guys there.
How goes it, my friend? I hope you are well. Just thought I'd drop a note to say hello and I've been thinking about you and that car of yours. Take care!
I enjoy your new blog. "I enjoy your new blog." How rediculous does that sound. Good to see you "blogging". Sounds even worse. You get the point, Otis. ;-)
lol, Otis. No I haven't, but thanks. haha So I finally saw the "beer run" video I had heard so much about. You guys are too weird. And how the heck did you get in the beverage barn? :D
