The Matrix is a favorite because it defines reality as I do: "Perspective is everything". James Bond and the Star Trek Captains can teach humans much about humanity - and the lack thereof. I enjoy quite a few movies from the 1940's and 50's, but I also admit to watching The Goonies more than twice. I thought The Lord of the Rings was great, but waited until all three movies were out since I don't have the patience or the memory necessary to otherwise wait. When I need to remind myself to appreciate life, I watch two german flicks that never fail: "Wings of Desire" and "Far Away, So Close".
I'll watch just about any Clint Eastwood movie, but Unforgiven is the best movie he ever made.
Television
Don't watch too much - some discovery or learning channel shows, sometimes the history channel. If I'm in the mood for comedy, I watch c-span.
Books
I will read just about everything and anything. I am currently reading Treasure Island, writings by the poet Rumi, some how-to computer info, E=MC2 - a biography of the equation, and The Jewel Tree of Tibet. (There are some benefits to A.D.D.)
Thank you! Had a great day and I'm wishing the best for the new year older too. Don't know if Lisa told you or not but Damir got his green card. Yippee! Happy that shit is over, well until Naturalization if he decides to do it.
All is excellent here. All the paperwork is submitted and they only asked for one thing so I did a pretty good job filling it all out I guess. He should get approval to work shortly and then he will start working at my cousins new bakery downtown. Can't wait! Hope you are well and that i get a chance to see you over the Holidays. :)
