Bio
....420 Blues.. started in mid-1995 when guitarist Wes Pitzer sought to play some blues standards with some good musicians. Over the next 6 months or so, Wes recruited bass player John Seaberry, drummer Darren Patrick, vibes/percussionist Dana Sudborough and singer Trey Hallinan. In early 1996, guitarist Greg Altuna rounded out the line up and ..420.. took off like a firecracker, quickly eating up the Denton music scene. By late 1996, the quintet had solidified a solid fan base and started venturing out to the rest of the North Texas area, playing blues standards as well as a few originals to keep the creativity going. By the middle of 1997, the band had enough originals to put out its first solid album entitled, "Please Step Away from the Groove". The band hit the studio and had the album ready for release by the end of 1997. 1998 through 1999 saw the band play over 250 shows and ..420 Blues.. quickly became a mainstay in the Denton/Dallas music scene... ..In late 1999, the band would end up being graced by the playing of David Kirkwood on the drums as well as by as slew of talented other musicians including keys player, Zach Jeffrey, and bass players Gaah(n) and ultimately Chris Perdue. In 2000 the band released another album entitled "The Blue Album", and would end up hitting the regional tour circuit tirelessly ... however, ..420 Blues.. ran out of gas and decided to call it quits in late 2001. Over the next few years, there were 3 reunion shows and ... well it's about time for another! So ... get your dancin' shoes on, dust off the cameras, and get ready to wax poetic because ..420 Blues.. should be doing another reunion show around September 2007!! Stick around for details!.. .. ..Site site reinforcement by ..BrownCo Media.... -
