Starting playing when I was 15. Like most kids, I was drawn in by rock & roll. My Dad was my first influence and I charish those special days. He had a special gift for making me feel better with that guitar. And now, I find myself doing the same for my little ones. My Dad turned me onto CASH, BUCK, and the great Chet Atkins along with Scotty More for the Rockabilly stuff. He loved fingerstyle and the country sounds of Flat-pickin'. After many years of pursing the elusive dollar in R&R, I wised up and turned back to the roots of my musical raising. I spent about 8 hard core years in studing Chet & Merle Travis. And now, I'm chasing the art of flat-picking. I love Bluegrass music, especially for the vocal harmany and the magical blend of all the natural instruments. The folks I meet in Bluegrass are such nice people. I love to drink a pot of coffee and play into the weeee hours of the night! -
